WHAT IS LTD?
(This was written around the year 2000 for the efed, but still applies in this Digital World as well.)
I have this little fantasy world I go to every once in a while, and it’s called LTD.
It’s where I go to get away from the stress and everyday happenings in real life.
It’s where I go to escape the world that we live in.
It’s where I go to be creative in writing skills.
It’s where I meet people from all over the world and compete against them in a game called online fantasy wrestling.
It’s a game of role-playing of made up characters.
Yes, you have to actually like professional wrestling to enter this world and to appreciate and enjoy the experience.
It’s like having an extended family where mutual respect and good friendly competition are the main ideals.
However, this place is not for everyone. Some people won’t enjoy this exact style of entertainment and that’s fine. Some people will like different forms of the same game and that’s fine too. There are many out there. Some people will love it and have fun and be entertained and have many great memories outside of real world activities. The goal is to have people who want to be here and contribute and have fun.
At the same time, this world is secondary to the real world and should never take precedent over real life issues, happenings or tragedies. It must be kept in perspective.
It’s a place where you can be or do just about anything as you design a fictional character to become. These characters have real life attributes, qualities and biographies. Just like real life people, these characters need to evolve and develop over time and grow as characters.
You have to be dedicated and committed to uphold the standards given in this world. You must agree to help others out in need and expect help from others if necessary. You should be able to accept constructive criticism from your peers as well as praise.
So what does LTD stand for you say? Well it originally was an acronym for the Developmental Federation for the entity known as Lethal Championship Wresting, a well-known and established fantasy-wrestling world with two other divisions already intact. We were known as Learning Training and Development to either get people back into the game or to help people start out in the game. However, as the idea grew and the members grew the federation became bigger and a need to branch into exclusivity arose.
We are still linked to the LCW World but not as a training center but as another branch in the LCW world. We still use the idea of helping members improve or people new to the game to develop the skills and still use the letters LTD. Now the letters stand for Leaning Towards Death. This name represents the style of fierce competition and near death experiences our characters take every day in their jobs of fighting for their lives.

It’s a place where the members don’t just participate but they can help run the whole thing.
It’s a fraternity of sorts where only an exclusive few can get in. But since going independent it has become harder to get into making it even more exclusive.
It doesn’t matter what you look like or where you are form or how old you are at all.
Once inside, many different things can happen to your characters. Many people show different sides and use different means to convey the attitudes and lifestyles of their characters. Some people will show their evil or sadistic side that can’t and shouldn’t be brought out in real life. Some people will try to be the person they can’t in the real world and fulfill dreams beyond belief. Some will be fan favorites to be cheered and adored as role models and heroes. Some will seek to entertain even more with comedy and wit. Some will tap your brain with intellect and intrigue. Some will take you on journeys in stories and real life situations.
LTD is a challenge to outwit your opponent. It is where you will talk trash on foes and create allies to fight in battle. You character must develop and grow like a real human. As in real life confrontations, you must have a strategy, a plan and a goal set for your character for every task brought your way. In victory, you will rejoice and accept another challenge. In a defeat, you will regroup and try and find a way to gain victory the next time around. It’s a never-ending battle to reach the ultimate goal of being a champion and at the same time enjoying the experience and having fun.
In the quest for victory, the characters will explain why they should win their match, how they plan on winning and take us through the steps of their lives before the actual match. They will go into detail in back and forth battles known as role-plays to try and win the battle through words. Many will watch over and judge these role-plays to determine whom the winners will be. The battles will culminate in shows of different styles to accommodate all types of characters and showcase their talents in the traditional professional wrestling style battles. They will fight for their lives in hand-to-hand combat to strive for victory. They will sacrifice live and limb inside the squared circle. Characters will be put through the ultimate physical tests in the LTD arenas. Some will succeed and some will fail. Some will survive and some will perish. For some it will be harder than others but for all it will be fun.
